Cell Xpress™
Cell Xpress™ is a service that employs LEAP™ to identify, clone and track the growth rates of potential supersecretor cells (e.g., those producing extraordinarily high levels of recombinant therapeutic proteins), very useful for manufacturing customer-specific protein therapeutics. Supersecretors may be cloned from existing production cell lines or directly from selected, transfected pools. Customers simply send cells under a protective MTA and we return super-secretors with detailed information on clone history, growth and secretion properties.

| Cell Xpress™ Enables Rapid Cloning of Supersecretors. Using LEAP™’s combined imaging and laser processing capabilities in conjunction with a localized antibody capture assay, LEAP™ can identify the few cells producing and secreting antibodies of interest. All other cells can be selectively eliminated, resulting in efficient cloning of cells that yield better biopharmaceutical manufacturing properties. |
Cloning of supersecretors could benefit certain companies producing protein therapeutics by:
- lowering protein production cost;
