Proliferation Assay

Assessing the proliferative activity of cells grown in culture is a fundamental tool for monitoring the health and growth rate of cells. Many researchers use metabolic-based quantification methods, such as MTT or MTS assays, to evaluate and identify compounds affecting cell proliferation. Unfortunately, these end-point assays require one to accept the measurement of metabolic activity as an indirect indicator for cell number and are destructive requiring the use of a new sample for each time point. Celigo enables automated, label-free, non-destructive, and non-invasive proliferation assays with its Cell Counting application. Cell counting on Celigo confers several benefits:
