Cell Secretion Analysis
The Celigo can be used to quickly and accurately monitor the secretion rate of biopharmaceutical cell lines over time, which is critical to maintain production levels. The Cell Secretion application measures protein secretion from individual cells, such as antibody-producing hybridoma cells. Such single cell level data provides valuable insight not only into overall production, but also the homogeneity of cell lines, which can be an important selection criteria during the development of new lines. The application uses Cyntellect’s proprietary secretion assay to detect and quantify a “Secreting Halo” of fluorescence around the cells of interest. Benefits of monitoring secretion on Celigo include:
- Easy-to-use interface to identify secreting cells and report statistics
- Reports the number and percentage of secreting cells per well
- Reports mean and integrated intensities of cell secretion signal
- Analyze the homogeneity of cell populations
