An Overview of the Celigo™ Cytometer
Minimally Invasive, Microplate-Based Cytometry
The Celigo Cytometer analyzes both adherent and non-adherent cells right where they grow in well plates and T-flasks, providing significant advantages over conventional methods. Celigo has uniquely uniform, high-quality, full-well brightfield imaging coupled with powerful segmentation software to obtain high quality data from every cell in every well of an entire microplate in as little as 5 minutes. Celigo’s non-destructive and non-invasive brightfield analysis is complemented by multi-color fluorescence capabilities, making the system suitable for a wide variety of cell-based assays in any lab. The Celigo Cytometer has the following features and benefits:
- Accepts T-flasks (T-25 and T-75) and most multi-well plates (1536-well to 6-well)
- Extremely accurate brightfield cell imaging and identification across the entire well
- Three channel fluorescence (in addition to brightfield)
- Extremely rapid scanning (~5-15 min across a range of microplates)
- Intuitive and easy-to-use, yet powerful, software segmentation and gating interface
- Optional API software for robotic loading integration
The Celigo Cytometer’s outstanding performance is largely due to its unique optical pathway, which employs a large F-theta lens and galvanometer mirrors to rapidly scan large areas. Unlike traditional microscope-based instruments, the system can scan an entire well without moving the plate and maintains consistent illumination for accurate cell identification right to the edge of the well.
